Corrected Blog 8

One picture was of a girl that had been trying to get through college debt free. She had depleted her entire savings account in hope that she can avoid taking out student loans. She is considered the 99% because she does not have a wealthy family that can pay, or even help pay, her college tuition. She then says she knows that her salary will never break 5 figures, and she is ok with that. This directly relates to social class.

Another one is about an elderly couple who sold their business, but later went bankrupt losing all of their life savings. They are trying to live on social security, but it can only do so much. They cannot find a job due to their age. This is a pretty scary situation as they once were a fairly well off couple that had made smart financial choices, until now. This shows how at any moment you can drop in the food chain.

A story of a 24 girl whos healthcare will not pay for her cancer treatment left her with a vary large debt. She is forced to pay it herself, as healthcare will now cost her more than she makes. Doctors have told her the cancer returned, and without her healthcare, she cannot afford the treatment. Doctors believe she will die before 30. This is a devastating story of how healthcare cost so much and that we need to help, at least a little bit, the lower classes. I hope she finds a way to pay off the debt and for the treatment.
